Okay, so good news and interesting news.

Interesting news first: I got all four of my wisdom teeth pulled out last week. It was a pain in the ass, but at least it means I won't have to ever do it again. Also though! I had one tooth (upper left) that was crazy high up in my face! Basically think sinus area, and I didn't want to take it out because I was kinda scared of surgery that far into my face near my brain goo and eyeballs D= but when I asked my dentist he said it would be up to the surgeon since it's so high the tooth will probably never come down.

So we go see a specialist and he says he'll take it out because if we leave the tooth there a cyst MIGHT form and then OHNOES UR PREGGERS WITH CANCER! IN YOUR FACE! D= Of course I think that sounds absolutely ridiculodonkis and half a year later I consult another specialist. This doctor actually LOOKS at my x-ray panogram thingy for more than ten seconds and then tells me that he actually thinks the tooth is that high because a cyst ALREADY formed. He does a couple tests to double check and sure enough, I have a membranous sac of fluid about the size of a SILVER DOLLAR IN MY FACE. Meaning we have to get it out now. Damn.

So they said they'd go ahead with the surgery anyways (at first they were talking about how I might have to go to the hospital instead) and take my other three teeth out. And then, at the very least they were going to biopsy the cyst if he felt he couldn't remove the whole thing and I got all excited and thought of how I could try to sell this story to House M.D. as a plot for an episode or something, but then I realized it wasn't really any symptom of a life threatening medical mystery.

Surgery went well, woke up just as soon as they finished and the coolest thing was that I got to see the cyst! It was like this light pink floppy sac with these darker pink vein tendrils curled around it and the white blob of a tooth floating around inside. I swear, the thing was probably bigger than my eye. In fact dimensions given were 60x23x4mm and when cut open it was 6cm long DX. Maybe I'll draw the thing one of these days and post it up. It was pretty gross

So it turns out the thing wasn't cancerous but it was an odontegenic keratocyst or something. basically the kind that has like a 25% chance of reoccuring versus the nice 0.01% chance TT___TT Lame. But it just means I have to go visit the specialist once a year for the next five years to just make sure it doesn't regrow and gain life of it's own and become some sort of parasitic brain sucker. ha ha. No. REALLY. XD

And on to the GOOD NEWS: I can chew and talk freely again, but also I WON! I WON! I WON I WON I WON I WON I WON I WON I WON I WON!!!!

Ha ha. Okay, from the beginning. This past year I happened to see an ad in the school newspaper that they were looking for cartoonist so I submitted a little something and they liked it! I ended up getting hired and am now doing a weekly comic strip for them at slave wages D= but THEN! they introduced me to a national contest for college students, being held by Student Affairs, that was about comic contests based on the themes of campus life and technology. I was unsure but tried out for it and it turned out my comic took 2nd place! I don't know how many other people entered but I'm pretty happy and now it just makes me question why the heck I'm a bio major!

So I'm in a really good mood right now, but let's see how long that holds up eh? Well thanks to everyone who bothered to read this far and is still watching me even though I'm a lazy inconsistent dorkwad XDDD MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
